The world is in the midst of a software revolution, and as the next wave of businesses grows, the consulting industry is booming.
The market is estimated to be worth $1.9 trillion, with an estimated $200 billion in revenue.
According to McKinsey, the United States is home to over 50,000 software consulting companies, and more than $30 billion in sales revenue is expected for this year.
However, consulting is still a highly regulated industry.
According the American Association of State and Local Government Employees, only five states and Washington, D.C. have passed legislation prohibiting the practice.
As a result, many of the firms are operating under strict rules and regulations, which are limiting the number of jobs and opportunities they can offer.
“There’s a lot of fear that the new technology will put people out of work, and that’s not the case at all,” says Jennifer McAlpine, the founder of Tupperware Consulting.
“In fact, many companies have started to take on consultants from other companies.”
She says the industry is now growing by 10 percent per year, which is a dramatic increase from just five years ago.
“Companies are finding that they have more time to build and improve their consulting offerings, and there’s an incentive to do that,” she says.
“This industry is about finding new ways to serve the needs of our clients.”
But McAlmont says it’s hard to do a great job if you don’t have the right people to help you out.
“Most of the consultants we’ve hired have never worked in software development before, and some of them don’t even have a high school diploma,” she notes.
McAlphenis company, TupperWARE, has been doing business in Texas for a long time, but the company has had some issues lately.
“We’ve had to take out all of our licenses in Texas because of some of the lawsuits we’ve had,” McAlpin says.
Tupper ware is a company that makes the products that are shipped to restaurants and other establishments, such as coffee makers, to make sure their customers get the freshest food possible.
Tuppers website also says that TupperWare can be a good fit for a number of different types of companies.
“The idea of having a small, focused team of people working on a project for an hour a day is something that’s very appealing to me,” says McAlton.
“I also believe that we need a team of highly skilled people to take care of all of these other projects, so we can deliver more value to our clients and customers.”
She adds that she has always been a bit apprehensive about working with contractors, but it turns out that they are a great fit for her business model.
“It’s actually a little easier because I can just take someone on a day-to-day basis, and the rest of the time I can hire them for all kinds of projects, whether it’s to work with a team on a particular project, or to help out with other projects,” she explains.
“For example, I might be hiring someone to help us with a design or development project and I’m also hiring someone from a design agency to work on a marketing project.”
McAlpine says the benefits of working with a company like Tupper Ware are twofold.
“Tupperware can offer you a lot more time on the side, as well as flexibility, and flexibility allows you to do more with less,” she adds.
“Because of that, I’ve found that there are a lot fewer times that I’ve had an issue with someone, and because of that there’s less stress on the company.”
McPine says that the most valuable aspect of working at Tupper is that she’s always learning.
“When you’re a consultant, you’re always working on the same project, and you’re constantly looking at the same set of things,” she observes.
“And I feel like it makes it so much easier to focus and work on what’s really important.”
While there are certain aspects of the consulting business that McAlpenis company does not require that other consultants must abide by, McAlpe also says she thinks that many companies should not be required to be in compliance with a state’s laws.
“If they’re doing the same job that I’m doing, they can be very successful and very successful,” she points out.
According McAlphones rules, she must not work for the company for more than six months.
However she is also free to work for Tupper as long as she wants to.
“You can be at a Tupper shop for a year, and then you can just leave and come back if you want,” she states.
In the end, Mc Alpine believes that the consulting profession is on the right track.
“Consulting is a very unique industry, and a lot has changed in the last decade, but what we’re
